Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations and account reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes for 200+ clients
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial systems
- Collaborate with audit teams during quarterly reviews
- Train junior accounting staff on SOPs and software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (NC/VA focus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
