Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with accuracy and timeliness
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for assigned client portfolios
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA certification or active pursuit strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of Maryland state tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities for client stakeholder management
