We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee complex financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead cross-functional initiatives. Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize multi-company general ledger operations with monthly/quarterly closes
- Lead financial statement preparation and analysis for executive stakeholders
- Coordinate external audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Develop and implement process improvements for financial reporting workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff through formal training programs
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable financial insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel modeling
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, SOX, and Ohio tax regulations
- Strong leadership experience with cross-functional teams
