Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations (FL-specific)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for departmental initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial strategy
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in Florida
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Texas accounting knowledge a plus (for multi-state operations)
- Familiarity with Florida tax regulations and compliance requirements
