Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Conduct internal audits to identify process improvements and risk mitigation opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities to present complex financial data clearly
