Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize general ledger operations with month-end closing responsibilities
- Prepare complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Lead internal audits and ensure SOX compliance across all financial processes
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic decision-making
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and payroll processing
- Collaborate with department heads on budget preparation and variance analysis
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state tax requirements
- Train junior accounting staff on financial systems and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- CPA certification required
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
