Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance analysis for stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and maintain general ledger integrity
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Develop financial models and forecasting reports to support business decisions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and payroll processing
