Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with executive-level insights
- Lead month-end closing processes ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows for 100+ vendors
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial processes
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments
