As a Senior Accountant, you will bridge the gap between financial data and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial statements and will work closely with department heads to optimize budget allocations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Perform complex account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing supporting schedules and documentation to external auditors.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial systems, reporting tools, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification or equivalent advanced accounting designation preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
