Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions and maintaining balance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial reporting procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification or completion of CPA exam requirements is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
