Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and conduct thorough variance analysis.
- Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate effectively with external auditors.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Process accurate journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification (or active pursuit) is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
