Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and provide recommendations for process optimization and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation and financial forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
