Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger reconciliations, ensuring data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external auditors during audits.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to management to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement internal controls to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
