Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring timely compliance.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to streamline financial operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial analysis and budget recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax software is a plus.
