As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health, preparing complex financial statements, and ensuring full compliance with local and federal regulations. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and lead key financial projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger functions, including account reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Oversee the tax preparation process, ensuring timely filing of federal, state, and local returns.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements to enhance financial controls.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and respond to auditor inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for cross-departmental collaboration.
