Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with auditors during external audits and tax filings
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for departmental heads
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or mentoring junior staff
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
