Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with variance analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes across 15+ entities
- Manage complex account reconciliations for balance sheets and P&L accounts
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting systems
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for 2024 strategic initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with macros
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
