Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with 99.8% accuracy targets
- Lead tax preparation and compliance initiatives for multi-state operations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows
- Maintain GAAP compliance and implement internal controls
- Mentor junior accountants and process documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record in multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with remote team collaboration tools (Slack, Asana)
- Illinois CPA license or willingness to obtain
