Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for senior leadership
- Manage reconciliations for multi-entity portfolios and ensure compliance with GAAP and state regulations
- Lead audit preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and implement streamlined accounting workflows to enhance efficiency
- Mentor junior accountants and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and California tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with pivot tables/VBA
- Proven track record of leading successful audit processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
