Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable for 50+ clients
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/SEC regulations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Lead month-end closing processes with reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Coach junior accountants on technical accounting standards
- Collaborate with executive team on financial strategy initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA/macros)
- Expert knowledge of California tax regulations and compliance
- Proven experience managing multi-state financial operations
- Certification in GAAP/IFRS accounting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
