Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and optimize cash flow management
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budget analysis
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to provide financial insights for strategic decisions
- Prepare tax documentation and coordinate with external auditors
- Maintain accurate financial records in ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
