Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
- Implement process improvements for financial reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and audit procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record of process improvement initiatives
