Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage general ledger operations and ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings with minimal disruption to operations
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide cross-departmental financial support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial data
