Responsibilities
- Manage complex financial reporting including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards
- Lead internal controls implementation and SOX compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining high-quality deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel with VBA skills
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing reporting timelines
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership
