Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate journal entries and account reconciliations
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency and risk management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial reporting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and process improvement
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Experience with multi-state tax regulations and payroll processing
