Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead financial reporting initiatives for executive stakeholders and board presentations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing functions
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Collaborate with audit teams during external and internal reviews
- Analyze financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, complex formulas)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP implementation experience a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Boston metro area residency or willingness to relocate
