Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and financial reporting
- Oversee general ledger maintenance with GAAP compliance oversight
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements
- Coordinate external audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls systems
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with 95%+ accuracy
- Prepare executive financial dashboards and variance analysis reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Proven track record in financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Detroit metro area residency preferred
