Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Prepare and analyze variance reports to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and manage depreciation calculations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with department heads to support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
