Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and implement process automation tools for accounting workflows
- Mentor junior accountants and support professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of process improvement and automation implementation
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate remotely across teams
