Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end/quarter-end close and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to generate insightful reports for executive decision-making
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis for departmental cost controls
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial reviews and tax preparation
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and MS Excel with macros
- Demonstrated expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and forecasting
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Active Colorado CPA license required
