Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance commentary
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations and tax season
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Mentor junior staff and cross-functional departments on financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expertise in complex reconciliations and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software
- Demonstrated success in process optimization and automation projects
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
