Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with federal and California state tax regulations
- Lead internal audits and implement process improvements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and coordinate cross-departmental financial initiatives
- Utilize ERP systems (NetSuite) for real-time financial data analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in California
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and California tax codes
- Proven experience managing financial audits and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with multi-state accounting operations
