Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 mid-sized clients, including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) using GAAP standards
- Lead internal audits and SOX compliance initiatives for portfolio companies
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models to support strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior accountants and coordinate cross-departmental financial projects
- Optimize accounting processes through automation and technology integration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (including VLOOKUP/Power Query)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and tax compliance regulations
- Proven experience with audit preparation and financial risk assessment
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
