Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage the annual budgeting process and assist in long-term financial forecasting.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
