Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all invoices are processed timely and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and facilitate the external audit process, preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff and interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance (Senior level role).
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
