Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end general ledger accounting and oversee the monthly and quarterly close processes.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory financial requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and supporting schedules for internal and external audits.
- Perform detailed month-end and year-end reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and variance analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills including proficiency with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
