Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 mid-market clients including month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Implement process improvements using NetSuite and QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with tax professionals on quarterly filings
- Mentor junior accountants during peak seasons
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years public accounting experience in Texas
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Texas CPA license or actively pursuing
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication with non-financial stakeholders
