Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and fixed asset schedules.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis and insights to senior management.
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial analysis and support for strategic business initiatives.
- Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Deep understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and auditing principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail with superior organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-capable environment.
