Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, tax preparation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and the ability to lead projects within a fast-paced office setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify areas for process improvement.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts for the organization.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff and external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
