Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Streamline accounts payable and receivable processes to improve cash flow efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary system updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
