Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance commentary and KPI tracking
- Lead audit preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives with data-driven insights
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated success in complex month-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit procedures
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financial data
- Proactive problem-solver with ability to prioritize competing deadlines
