Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger operations and account reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with documentation
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial systems
- Coordinate external audit procedures and tax compliance activities
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel modeling
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and California tax regulations
