Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with 3-way matching protocols
- Lead tax compliance initiatives and coordinate external audits
- Develop financial models and forecasting for operational decision-making
- Maintain internal controls documentation and SOX compliance
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing multi-state compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
