Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and annual accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct monthly and annual reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls, financial processes, and reporting accuracy.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
