Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process for department heads.
- Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
