Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage complex month-end closing processes with accuracy and efficiency
- Lead internal audits and compliance initiatives for multi-state operations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and cost optimization
- Maintain robust internal controls and documentation systems
- Coach junior accountants on best practices and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel modeling
- Proven experience with multi-state tax filings and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
