Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and audit procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvement opportunities
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and cash flow analysis
- Oversee tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in financial reporting, reconciliation, and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex month-end/quarter-end closing cycles
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience in public accounting or regulated industry preferred
