Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Lead special projects including tax filings and financial system implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data to stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory reporting
