Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Manage general ledger activities, including account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and year-end audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payroll transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
