Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current accounting processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal policies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to management.
- Team Support: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite), and accounting software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and propose effective solutions.
